The brief

Before starting a long-term engagement, a Fortune 500 payment network wanted a clear, shared definition of what success would actually look like. They needed more than good intentions. They needed a way to measure whether the work was actually moving the business.

The challenge

The client's fraud teams and product owners were often unable to see, in dollars, what a given improvement was worth. Was it reducing cost, growing sales, improving operational effectiveness, or improving customer satisfaction? Without a shared measurement framework, priorities got debated qualitatively, and business impact stayed exactly that: an impression, not a number.

The solution

Tenjumps built a success measurement framework grounded in defined KPIs across four categories: reducing cost, increasing sales, improving effectiveness, and improving satisfaction. The deliverable included a whitepaper laying out the measurement methodology, plus a practical tool that let the client's teams input their own data and calculate the business impact of a given initiative, step by step. The framework was presented to the client's leadership team, mapped directly to their existing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) so it would fit into how the organization already worked, rather than asking teams to adopt a separate process.

The result

The client didn't roll the framework out overnight, but it laid the groundwork for how the organization would eventually measure the return on its product investments. Over time, as demand for a shared way to quantify business impact grew, more of the client's product teams adopted the framework to tie their work to measurable outcomes.
